How can I create editable icons to use in PowerPoint?

Icons break up your text and make it much more digestible. They’re simple but make your presentation look amazing. So how can you create custom icons for your presentation?

  1. First, you have to create your icon in a vector graphics software such as Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator and save it in SVG format. You can also download icons in SVG format on the Internet.
  2. To insert the SVG file, drag and drop the file from file explorer onto any PowerPoint slide.
  3. Next, you have to convert the SVG image into an object that can be edited in PowerPoint. Select the icon, right-click and choose Convert to Shape.
  4. You’ll be able to resize and recolor it just like with any native shape in PowerPoint.
