Thank you so much for all of these templates! My club uses them so much when presenting for our Mock Shark Tank. They have really helped add color to our “Pitches”!

What script did you use to make the pie chart show the background image on slide 13? Pretty snazzy.
Jimena says
Hello Ted, on slide 13 there’s a map and there’s no pie chart shown in the background image. However, if you are asking about a chart that appears in a photograph please be aware that they’re not mine but from http://startupstockphotos.com/

Thank you for creating these beautiful presentation templates for Google Slides. I’m having issues changing colors in the master slides, which seems to remove the transparency for the background images. For example, when I go to Slide > Edit Master > Title, and select the gold element on the right to change the color (using Format > Fill color), the transparency and the photo disappears. What I get is a solid rectangle of color, no transparent photo displays. The only way I found to display the background image (and to change to another image) is to use the color you set on the template. What am I missing?
Gayo says
Hi Deborah, you have to define a transparent color so the photo can be seen through the rectangle. To do so choose the option “Custom” when you use the bucket tool and you’ll see that you can set the transparency of any color.

Hi, I’m having trouble changing the colours on Microsoft Powerpoint. When I go to slide design>variants>customize, i can select the colours but they don’t apply to the slides. What should I do to fix this?
Gayo says
Hi Perri,
I design the templates directly in Google Slides, and there you can’t define a “theme color palette” for the whole presentation. So, when you download the file as a Powerpoint file the “powerpoint theme colors” and the colors in the presentation aren’t really linked. You have to select the text and other elements by hand in the master slides and change their colors (there’s only 10 master slides so I hope it doesn’t take you too much time).

Hello, I am having a hard time changing the background picture on powerpoint.
Jimena says
Hello Fanny, simply replace the background photo with your own. Follow the instructions at Powerpoint help.

I am having trouble changing the background pictures. When I open the slide master, the original pictures do not appear on the master slides. When I add my own pictures in, the original pix still appear. Do I add my own pix in the master or on the main slides?
Jimena says
Add your own pictures in the main slides. Take into account that one master layout can be used in several slides and you may need to use different photos in them.
Laiona says
Hello! I have downloaded and copied this powerpoint theme onto google drive and have access to editing it, I am just wondering how to change the background photo found in many of the slides. I love the translucent gold over many of the photos I just would like to put my own photos there instead and have not figured out how. Thank you!
Jimena says
Hi Laiona, those images are set as slide backgrounds. To change them select a slide and go to the Slide menu, and select Background, or right-click in a slide and select Change background. Then upload your own photos.
